Cream of Mushroom Soup

A hearty homemade version

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Chopped Mushrooms
  • 3 tbsp Butter
  • 2 tbsp Flour
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1 pinch Pepper
  • 2 Cups Whole Milk
  • 2 Cups Chicken Broth
  • 1/4 tsp Paprika
  • 1/4 tsp Onion salt

Instructions

  1. Melt butter in heavy saucepan

  2. Blend in salt, pepper and flour into a roux

  3. Remove from heat

  4. Stir in milk and chicken broth

  5. Once liquid is incorporated with butter, bring to boil stirring constantly

  6. Stir in mushrooms, paprika and onion salt
